At the time of a paralyzing drought in the West, we discover a plain girl whose father and two brothers are worried as much about her potential future as an old maid as they are about their dying cattle, trying every possible scheme to marry her off. Nor is there any sign of relief from the dry heat, when suddenly from out of nowhere appears a sweet-talking man, claiming to be a, "rainmaker."

This stranger brings more than rain to this family with his persistent charms, persuading even a plain girl that she may have beauty of her very own.

The reviews of The Rainmaker prove it’s a classic, must-see show…."[The Rainmaker's] underlying theme—the need for faith in oneself and others—is universal." - Chicago Reader
"[The Rainmaker] preserves the timeless themes and proves the show still has something to say to today’s audiences." - New City Chicago

Directed by Chuck Hathaway and Jon Cotterman

Performances: Mar. 3-4, 10-11, 17 -18 @ 8 pm
